Job Description

1st shift- Woodworker/Cabinet Assembler, $19+/hr- Grand Rapids
 
Come work for a local company that excels in childrens furniture. 
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of filing edges with laminates, veneers, plastics, hardwoods, hardwoods, finishing, and solid surface. 
  • Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, blue prints and verify dimensions. 
  • Experience with power tools, wood edgebander, clamps, sanders, trimmers, staple guns etc. 
 
Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of unit measures and ability to operate hand tools and read a tape measure
  • Minimum 1-5 years in skilled furniture assembly with wood materials
  • Prior experience working in a wood shop and/or manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs. 
  • Ability to read and write in English
  • High school diploma or GED
 
In this role, candidates will be working in the wood shop assembling wood furniture, such as, chairs, tables, decorative wood pieces, desks etc. Candidates must have experience with power tools and love to work with their hands. Looking for someone who has 1-5 years of experience with strong wood working skills.
