Technician Assistant. 1st Shift $17.00/hr – Lansing, MI

Preferred Qualifications:
- Perform preventive maintenance on stamping tools
- Ability to operate basic heavy industrial shop tools and equipment
- Perform basic shop fabrication & welding tasks
- Assist in Die Changes & other miscellaneous
- Perform all duties in a safe manner in compliance with all local, state & federal guidelines
Preferred Skills:
- Prior mechanical experience
- Basic mechanical skills/experience
- Able to lift & pull 50 lbs
- Problem solving skills & attention to detail is crucial
- Excellent communication
- Strong attendance
- Must possess a valid driver's license & have reliable transportation
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Other duties as assigned
A day in the life looks like working Monday through Thursday, with a half day on Friday! Candidates will be working directly with the Tooling manager and Maintenance technician. Ideally a candidate would have some prior mechanical experience, but it is not limited to press/industrial, we are open and willing to train the right person for the role. There is an opportunity to be hired by the company.
