Job Description
Skilled Trade Apprentice, up to $20/hr - Madison Heights, MI
Are you looking for an opportunity to get your foot in the door somewhere that will provide an opportunity for you to learn and further your career in the skilled trades?! If so, this is the job for you!
Qualifications:
- Must have some history of at least one of the following: grinding, operating drill press, operating stamping press, lathe, etc.
- Eventually must be willing to crosstrain and learn other machines if you don’t know how to already
- Setup of machine you’re running
- Inspect parts for quality as you complete them
- Other duties as assigned
Skills:
- Experience with one of the above mentioned skilled trades required
- Machining experience
- Ability to read a blueprint preferred
A day in the life at this company for this position consists of showing up and working at 7am-3:30pm, and then during the summer you’ll be working 4 10 hour shifts so you get a 3 day weekend! In this position, you’d be responsible for operating one of numerous machines depending on your skill level and what you’ve done in the past. Eventually, you’ll learn how to run them all and that is an invaluable skill! This is a great opportunity for someone trying to get their foot in the door and grow!
