Plastic Technician, $16.75- $19.85/hr - 2nd shift - Walker

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Able to work overtime when needed.
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring a heightened focus on safety and reporting unsafe conditions or accidents.
  • Report issues when they arise – this should be done quickly to minimize any impact on the efficiency of production.
  • Train and develop Plastics Technician I associates on technical skills as it relates to safety, quality, and operational expectations.
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work area.
  • Machine change over
  • Machine maintenance
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred Skills:
  • HS Diploma/GED or relevant experience instead of.
  • Must be capable of lifting 0 – 50 lbs.
  • Judgement and decision-making skills.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
  • Mechanically inclined
 
The primary role of this position is working on the plastic operations line, inspecting, labeling, and unloading plastic bottles. If this position you will be working on Bekum blow- mold machines, plastic mixing machines, trimmer machines, and leak checking machines. You will be responsible for funning about 3 machines at a time and maintaining the Plastics Department.
