Scale Operator, $20/hr. – 1st Shift  -- Huger, SC

Responsibilities:
  • Instruct flow of packaged material to scales
  • Assist pack-line on proper packing directions and instruct flow of packaged material to scales
  • Inspect packages to ensure proper material, size, identification, packaging, sample if required, and weight
  • Operator forklift and/or overhead crane to transport materials to and from storage areas
  • Weigh package and enter into the AS 400 system, generate tag and document on order ensuring accuracy of entry and documentation
Skills:
  • Ability to inspect, weigh, document and identify material through the AS 400 System
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills, ability to accurately track and input data in AS 400 system
  • Ability to use tape measures, micrometers, and calipers
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds

A Scale Operator weights, measures, and generates tags for finished goods to ensure proper documentation and identification for shipment. This role inspects materials, supplies, and equipment daily.
