Job Description

 Purchasing Agent, Up to $20.00/hour -  1st Shift - Elkhart, IN

Qualifications: 
  • 3-5 years of relative work experience is required.
  • Steel/aluminum industry and fabrication knowledge are preferred.  
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of NAV are a plus. 

Skills:
  • Knowledge of the purchasing process including negotiations and order placements.
  • Ability to prioritize numerous tasks simultaneously. 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.  The ability to learn the company's ERP software is required.   

The primary function of the Purchasing Agent is to secure purchasing relationships with a wide spectrum of vendors to acquire steel and aluminum for the manufacturing operation.   Will engage in negotiations that will provide the company with the best pricing and payment options available.
