Job Description
Prototype Technician, up to $25/hr - Madison Heights, MI
Are you looking for a great opportunity to make great money and put your electronic assembly skills to use? Do you have experience with working with building assemblies and subassemblies, shipping/receiving experience, as well as fabricating? If so, this is the place for you!
Qualifications:
- Build prototype assemblies and subassemblies and document as required
- Fabricate parts per drawings
- Build/modify prototype vehicles.
- Assist in shipping and receiving.
- Interact with, and provide feedback to team members, Manufacturing Manager, and Engineers in the day-to-day activities related to production
- Operate all equipment and tools utilized in the manufacturing and assembly process
- Recognize, analyze, report and resolve build issues
- Assist in the development of the build, assembly, inspection, and test documentation
- Assist in calibration.
- Responsible for Shipping and Receiving.
Skills:
- Minimum of three years experience in fabrication field
- Minimum two years in welding
- Proficient with basic workshop tools and equipment
- Ability to work independently
A day in the life at this company for this position consists of showing up and working from 9am until 5p, Monday through Friday. In this position, you’d be responsible for assembly and fabrication of hybrid and electric vehicle batteries for the growing EV market. This might entail assembling batteries, fabricating, looking at diagrams, performing shipping and receiving duties, etc. This is a great opportunity to make good money and put your electrical skills to use!
