The Prototype Operator will maintain continuous improvement in quality & productivity. Focus on job and be self-motivated. Keep safe by wearing all required protective equipment including safety glasses. Troubleshoot and solve problems independently. 
Education, Experience, Training and/or Skills Required: 
  • 2-3 years experience required. 
  • High School Diploma 
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts and conversions. 
  • Ability to work with statistical data and apply concepts such as whole numbers and fractions, ratios and proportions and work with measurement devices. 
  • Ability to accurately identify and analyze trends.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
  • Experience in Prototype Sheet Metal (2-3yrs exp: $25hr, 30+yrs closer to $50hr.)
 
  • Must have hydraulic press experience working with Kirkside dies, Aluminum and Steel dies
 
  • Die barbering, die spotting, set up and development is required using 2, 3 and 4 piece die sets
 
  • Must be willing to develop and run prototype stampings which may include blank development and developing a prototype die process for others to follow
