Job Description
Project Engineer, up to 100k/yr – 1st – Shelby Twp, MI

Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain procedures relating to efficient manufacturing practices
- Evaluate existing and new manufacturing processes, workflows, facility layouts & equipment, based on quality criteria, such as efficiency and speed, to optimize performance
- Ensure manufacturing processes comply with safety & environmental regulations
- Develop effective automated and non-automated systems
- Test new and existing production procedures through engineering builds
- Organize and manage manufacturing workflows and resources
- Resolve issues and delays in production
- Root-cause corrective actions (customer and internally initiated)
- Manage and conduct employee training for productivity improvement projects and NPI launches
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering Preferred
- Must have recent exp with AutCAD
- Must have 1+ year of Project management exp
- Experience with Thermal Processing equipment from either a design side or from using thermal processing equipment required
- Must be willing to travel both domestically and internationally (3-4 times a year, max of 3 weeks at a time)
As the project engineer you will be implementing and maintaining procedures, evaluating existing work flows to make them better, making sure everyone involved with the manufacturing process is completing tasks safely, and resolving issues that cause delays in production.
