A Ludington furniture manufacturer of quality office furniture is looking to add Paintline Laborers to its growing team!  Positions are available on 1st Shift. Hours are 4:45am- 3:15pm (Monday-Thursday.)  Must be able to work overtime as needed.

Skills:

• Reads, understands, and follows standard work charts and any special instructions

• Performs tasks in accordance with standard levels of performance required to meet production rate established for specific parts being worked

• Conducts loading and unloading of cabinets and components on the paint line

• Demonstrates the ability to meet both finish and squareness 

• Performs routine cleaning chores to maintain the cleanliness of work station and area per 5S requirements 

• Maintains a high level of direct labor efficiency 

• Has the ability to perform problem-solving and troubleshooting

• Understands and adheres to 5S manufacturing practices

• Performs tasks in accordance with standard levels of performance required to meet the production rate established for specific parts being worked.

• Utilizes hand tools, fixtures, and clamps for small welding application

• Can setup and maintain welding machine including changing wire, changing gas, and operating equipment
  
  

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a repetitive basis is required 

• Able to safely pick up metal parts

• Must be able to interpret written and verbal work instructions

• Previous manufacturing or paint line experience is preferred

• Strong attention to detail

• Must be a self-starter with the initiative to take a project from start to finish with minimal supervision 

Paintline Laborers will be responsible for hanging parts on a paint line and removing parts from the paint line.  Will be responsible for taking finished sub-assemblies and matching them with other unpainted components so they are together after being painted.
