Job Description

2nd shift - Painter/Loader $19.80 - Grand Rapids
Come work for a privately owned manufacturing company servicing the construction industry in Grand Rapids, MI. 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Cutting,carrying and stacking 4x4 wood dunnage to load and secure cargo during transportation.
  • Loading trailers in a safe manner making sure they do not exceed 45,000 using overhead cranes and lifting devices. 
  • Responsible for lists regarding pieces that have been or need to be loaded and shipped. 
  • Using overhead cranes and lifting devices to move materials during the painting process. 
  • Clean material surface, check paint (type and color), spray and paint materials. 
  • Use an elcometer test to test paint thickness multiple times during shift and log results. 
 
Preferred Skills:
  • HS diploma or GED
  • Must have overhead crane experience.
  • Ability to organize materials.
  • Able to read, write, and speak English.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
In this role, candidates will be responsible for handling and painting materials before loading. This position will also be responsible for the loading of materials into trailers. Having previous overhead crane experience is extremely important due to the amount of heavy lifting required.
