Job Description

1st Shift- Packer - $17.50/hr - Grand Rapids
Come work for a snack food manufacturer that is rapidly growing and looking for employees to hire permanently! 
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Responsible for handling the finished product (counting, packaging, sealing, putting product in trays/boxes, stacking boxes)
  • Ensuring pallets, boxes and trays are up to shipping standards
  • Quality inspecting per customer standards (product weight, appearance, verifying code dates) 
  • Maintain working conditions of equipment
  • Follow company, GMP, and safety guidelines
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
Preferred Skills:
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs 
  • Able to stand, walk, and perform repetitive motions the entire shift
  • Able to reach overhead, kneel, bend, and crouch
  • Ability to read and write English
  • Basic math skills 
  • Highschool Diploma or equivalent
 
In this role, Candidates will be handling, packaging, and preparing finished products for shipment in a food manufacturing facility. Responsibilities include quality control of products, filling and sealing products into final packaging, and placing products onto pallets, trays, or boxes based on customer specifications.
