Job Description
Mechanical Assembler, $14.00/hr. – 1st Shift – Piedmont, SC
Job Duties:
- Assemble ventilation blowers, ambient air pumps, air filtration panels, supplied-air respirators, and other products from parts, components, and sub-assemblies.
- Test assembled products for performance and compliance with product specifications.
- Package finished products for final shipment.
- Identify low or zero stock shortages and report to the supervisor
- Handle products and equipment in a safe and orderly manner to prevent injury to self or others
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
- Ability to work from detailed drawings, written information, and verbal instructions.
- Ability to work with small hand tools, pneumatic and electrical hand tools, calibration devices, and air gauges.
- Ability to speak, read and write English clearly and understandably
- Mental and visual attention to detail required
- Good mathematical skills using whole numbers
- Good communications skills
- Assembly: 1 year preferred
Aptitude:
- Moderate physical exertion requiring sitting, standing, walking, and lifting; capable of lifting heavy items and must get assistance for items too heavy to lift safely.
- Mechanical ability and technical aptitude to acquire product knowledge
- Ability to handle multiple tasks
- Ability to continuously prioritize responsibilities to meet the needs of a changing environment
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Positive attitude
- Organized and detail-oriented
Position Summary: A Production Assembly Worker is responsible for a wide variety of Allegro product assembly and packaging operations. The worker builds ventilation blowers, ambient air pumps, breathing air panels and other respiratory
products from components and sub- assemblies.
