Job Description

1st shift – Maintenance Tech, $25+ - Portage, MI

Are you looking to work for a leader in the manufacture and production of insoluble fibers used in the food, pet food, home and personal care, chemical, technical, industrial industries, and many more? Preferred Qualifications:

Work independently, or within a group, to complete Maintenance tasks.
Complete work using fundamental mechanical & electrical principles.
Work within CMMS software to document work orders & maintain spare parts inventory.
Troubleshoot & resolve problems independently, both during normal shift & On-Call.
Communicate to all departments within the organization.
Work safely, following all relevant safety policies & procedures.
Follow all established Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).

Preferred Skills:

Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Machine Repair Tech., Millwright or Electrical Tech.
Basic knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic & electrical systems.
Basic knowledge of electrical circuits.
Journeyman’s card or associate degree in Maintenance Technology or similar field preferred.
Strong self-motivation, troubleshooting skills & sense of urgency.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally & in writing.

In this role, You will complete predictive and preventative maintenance programs for hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. Complete installation of new equipment and work normal shift, as well as an on-call rotation.
