Machinist, 3rd Shift - Up to $26/hr. – Saline, MI

Responsibilities: 

• Work from programming instructions, operational data and machine setup information including material clamping methods, machine calibrations, and console settings for operations such as bore, mill, drill, face, thread and profiling & contouring. 

• Perform machining of parts and products in accordance with drawings, specifications and material requirements. 

• Operate and adjust semi-automatic or automatic numerically controlled machine tools to perform a series of progressive machining operations.

• Ensures proper alignment and thickness of the coil on the mills

• Performs preventative maintenance on the machine (oiling and hydraulics)

Qualifications:

• Blueprint reading skills; technical training preferred 

• 5-7 years of manufacturing experience

• 3+ years previous experience as an advanced Machine Operator on Lathes and Mills or 1 year advanced machine operator & formal education in Machining and programming. 

You will set up and operate more than one type of machine tool; such as CNC mills, CNC lathes, manual mills, manual lathes, grinders, etc in machining operations.
