Job Description
Machine Builder $22-33/hr (Based on experience)
Job Summary: Local company in Romulus, MI specializing in problem solving for unique manufacturing challenges. There is a considerable amount of tuning and development involved in every project that they undertake. The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate experience in the build, and more importantly, the commissioning of automated equipment. They will also be expected to work directly with the design and engineering team to not only build an automated system but to assure that it meets functionality expectations. In addition, the successful candidate will be able to diagnose clients’ concerns with automated systems.
Essential Duties:
- Assembly & debug of new machinery
- Retooling/refurbishing & debug of existing machinery
- Service equipment at customer site
- Assist with miscellaneous shop duties
Job Requirements:
The candidate for this position should have proven machine build and debug skills and a desire for advancing their skills and capabilities. There will be considerable opportunity for this candidate to learn new skills and test their skills on new and unusual projects. Opportunities for advancement within machine build and into design or project management will certainly be available for a candidate that can demonstrate solid performance. Exceptional communications skills are a requirement. We run a collaborative design environment and the candidate must be able to communicate with all members of the organization as well as our customers.
- Must have your own tools to bring with you on site.
- Must be able to read prints and assemble machinery per the prints.
- Electrical controls knowledge is a plus but not required
- Must be able to pass criminal background check and drug screen
- 3-5 years of experience minimum
