Job Description

1st Shift - Machine Assembly, $20-$22/hr -  Grand Rapids, MI
 
Come work for a local source for the design, development, manufacture, and installation of bag and unit load material handling systems.
 
Preferred Skills:
 
●      Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures
●      Electrician capabilities: Some wiring of switches, photocells, relays, etc.
●      Take precision measurements to ensure perfect fit of components
●      Select or modify components according to measurements and specifications
●      Occasional forklift driving required
●     Experience working with hand tools and power tools (sockets, wrenches, screwdrivers etc.)
●      Familiarity with pneumatics (air valves, piping, etc.)
●      Keep records of production quantities and time
●      Report on issues, malfunction or defective parts
 
 
 
Preferred Qualifications:
 
●      Proven experience as assembler
●      Technical knowledge and ability to read blueprints, drawings etc.
●      Ability in using tools (e.g. clamps) and machines (e.g. presses)
●      Good understanding of quality control principles
●      Good communication skills (verbal and written)
●      Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical condition
●      High school diploma; Higher degree from a technical school will be appreciated
 
 
In this role candidates will build and maintain service equipment. In addition, they troubleshoot malfunctions in production for quality control purposes and ensure that all supplies remain available so they can complete work efficiently.
