Job Description
1st - Installation Technician, $26- $30/hr- Elkhart, IN
Are you experienced in electrical and wiring and interested in working for a
company leading in independent clean energy solutions? This company wants to hire you full-time!
Responsibilities:
- Consult with clients to determine their power requirements and assess their RV’s
- electrical system to determine the best solar power system design.
- Design and install solar power systems on RVs according to client requirements
- and specifications.
- Install wiring and mounting brackets for solar panels and batteries.
- Connect and test all components of the solar power system, including the solar
- panels, batteries, and inverters.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the installation process.
- Provide clients with training on how to use and maintain their RV solar power
- system.
- Maintain accurate records of all installations and services provided.
- Stay up to date with industry developments and technologies related to RV solar
- power systems.
- Collaborate with other team members to optimize workflow and ensure timely
- completion of installations.
Preferred Qualification:
- High school diploma or equivalent, with vocational or technical training in electrical
- installation or related field.
- At least 2 years of experience installing solar power systems on RVs or similar
- vehicles.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical
- concepts to clients clearly and concisely.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions and at heights.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Certification from a recognized solar power installation program is preferred.
