Job Description
Upholsterers, $15.00/hour - Shelby
A Shelby manufacturer that specializes in producing robust, high-quality library and educational furniture is seeking Upholsterers to join their growing team on 1st Shift! Hours are 7:00am-3:40pm (Monday-Friday.) Overtime may be required.
Qualifications:
- Will need to work as part of a team to meet production standards
- Fit, install, and secure material using hand and power tools, glue or staples
- Measure and cut covering materials, using patterns and measuring and cutting instruments
- Build furniture up with loose fiber stuffing, cotton, felt, or foam padding
- Read work orders, and apply knowledge and experience
Skills:
- Must be able to lift over 50#'s as needed
- Will need to work as part of a team to meet production standards
- Attention to detail
The Sewer will be responsible for gathering, cleaning, and assembling cabinet components per customer specifications while following company standards.
