Job Description

Upholsterers, $15.00/hour - Shelby  

 
A Shelby manufacturer that specializes in producing robust, high-quality library and educational furniture is seeking Upholsterers to join their growing team on 1st Shift!  Hours are 7:00am-3:40pm (Monday-Friday.)  Overtime may be required. 
 
 
Qualifications: 
  • Will need to work as part of a team to meet production standards
  • Fit, install, and secure material using hand and power tools, glue or staples
  • Measure and cut covering materials, using patterns and measuring and cutting instruments
  • Build furniture up with loose fiber stuffing, cotton, felt, or foam padding
  • Read work orders, and apply knowledge and experience
 
 
Skills:
  • Must be able to lift over 50#'s as needed
  • Will need to work as part of a team to meet production standards
  • Attention to detail
     
The Sewer will be responsible for gathering, cleaning, and assembling cabinet components per customer specifications while following company standards.
