Preferred Qualifications:
- Perform routine maintenance checks on heavy equipment
- Inspect, diagnose, and fix malfunctions through observation
- Repair broken or faulty parts as needed
- Maintain service logs and records of maintenance on equipment
- Keep tools, equipment, and work area, clean organized, and in good working condition
- Other duties as assigned
Preferred Skills:
- Mechanical aptitude necessary
- Comfortability with hand and pneumatic tools
- Knowledge of some mechanics desired but WILLING TO TRAIN
- Ability to follow directions
- Willingness to learn
This company is a metal processor, foundry, and scrap yard. The right candidate for this position will be performing general maintenance on forklift trucks, semis, trailers, and loaders. You could be performing tasks such as changing headlights, oil changes, swapping/fixing hydraulic cylinders, hoses, tires, brakes, wheel bearings, etc. This would be a great opportunity for someone looking to transition into a lead position!
