General Machinists - 1st Shift - Paw Paw, MI

Workbox Staffing is seeking General Machinists for our client in Paw Paw, MI. We're looking for individuals who are passionate about quality, dedicated to customer satisfaction, and thrive in an environment that values innovation. 


Preferred Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
  • Willingness to submit a resume and complete an interview/tour of the machine shop
  • Punctual, reliable, and able to multitask
  • Team-oriented mindset


Preferred Skills: 
 
  • MUST have 1-3 years of experience in the machining field
  • Proficiency in reading micrometers (Depth, Inside/Outside)
  • Computer literacy and basic math skills
  • Machine repair with hydraulic/pneumatic/electrical troubleshooting skills (a plus)
  • Attention to detail
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment
  • Willingness to take on other duties as assigned
As a General Machinist, you'll play a crucial role in operating various machines including vertical mills, surface and OD grinders, boring mills, engine lathes, saws, and drill presses. Your mechanical aptitude and knowledge of electrical wiring, hydraulics, and pneumatics will be highly beneficial. You'll also be responsible for preventative maintenance, and machining parts, and may occasionally work overtime, which will always be communicated in advance.
