Fire Watcher, $17/hr. - Wyandotte MI

Qualifications: 
  • Must pass Fire Extinguisher test (online, credentials provided by Workbox)
  • Must complete orientation prior to start (online, up to 3 hours). This is paid as long as the employee works their first day.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time (entirety of shift)
  • Must have 6 months+ of experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
 
As a Fire Watcher, you will provide surveillance of areas where “hot work”, such as welding or cutting with torches, is occurring. Fire watch workers may be part of a welding team that make sure that no smoldering fires result from cutting or welding metal. Their main duty is to sound the alarm to call the fire department in, if a fire exists, not to put the fire out.. After your time with Workbox, you will be considered for hire-in!
