Fabricator, $22/hr - 2nd Shift - Grand Rapids

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to lift, position, and removes workpieces from conveyors and bunks to assist in fitting and welding 
  • Ability to load, stack, and transport stock, tools, and work in process by hand or crane.
  • Ability to attach chains and clamps (dogs) to work pieces to prepare work piece for moving by crane or jib.
  • Ability to operate overhead cranes.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in the fabrication of structural steel, with specific experience in the layout, welding, and fabricating stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel. 
  • Able to lift 50 pounds 
  • The ability to read and understand blueprints.
  • Motivated, detail-oriented and the ability to perform as a team player required
 
In this position, you will fabricate structural steel beams used for the construction industry. This is an opportunity for a permanent position with benefits including medical, dental, life insurance, disability, and 401k with a company match.
