Job Description

1st shift- Experienced Wood Finisher, $18+/hr- Grand Rapids
 
Come work for a local company that excels in childrens furniture. 
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Performs finishing work within the spray booth using various wood finishes such as: stains, colors and textures. 
  • Performs color mixtures and color matches to product and production specifications
  • Performs all necessary product preparation work by sanding, repairing and conditioning wood for priming, staining, painting and finishing
  • Operates various sanding, wood cutting and drilling machines
 
Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of unit measures and ability to operate hand tools
  • Knowledge of color matching and wood finishing
  • 2-4 years of related experience 
  • Prior experience working in a wood shop and spray booth while performing final finishes
  • Ability to read and write in English
  • High school diploma or GED
 
In this role, candidates will be working in the wood shop prepping, priming, staining, painting and finishing wood products. This candidate will spend a lot of time in the spray booth and must pay close attention to the quality of the products during the finishing process.
