Electronics Technician, $20-28/hr, Sterling Heights, Michigan
The qualified candidate will be responsible for consistent quality and operational standard day-to-day maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production test fixtures and equipment, as well as day-to-day diagnosis of production fall-out of the products made throughout the work order while maintaining a clean and safe workspace. Duties and Responsibilities:
This team member will exhibit excellent electronic debug and repair skills. They will become familiar with the design and operation of the various Lippert products we produce, and also of the testers and test tools we use to validate the products we produce. The Electronics Technician will quickly diagnose and find problems and take corrective action, or recommend corrective actions to the manufacturing team.
This team member will also be called upon to build prototypes and modify existing circuits as necessary to support production tester and test fixtures. Standard Electronic assembly techniques using soldering irons, perf-boards, and hand tools are essential.
This team member will have experience using small hand tools as well as various electronic test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, soldering equipment, etc… They will show proficiency in electronic circuit diagnosis and repair. They should have good written language skills, good organizational skills, and the initiative to learn. They should be cooperative, flexible, and ready to both digs into challenges, as well as contribute knowledge to the rest of the team. In short, a team player. This team member should work well with other departments, have an eye for details, and be able to document new designs thoroughly to enable easy construction of duplicate fixtures in the future as needed.
Work is performed in a factory setting with temperature control year-round. This Team member may be exposed to low amounts of fumes. They will experience varying amounts of noise and
Required Education and Experience:
Associates Degree or Technical Certificate in Electronics Engineering Technology
Preferred Education and Experience:
1. A recent Associate’s Degree in Electronics or Electrical Eng. Technology from an accredited
university or trade school
2. Electronic circuit design experience or electronic CAD experience
3. Component level debug and repair of surface mount PCB assemblies
4. Electronic Manufacturing experience.
