Custom Woodworker, $18.00/hour - 1st shift - Zeeland
 
Workbox Staffing is hiring a Customer Woodworker in the Zeeland area who believe in leadership in Innovation and who are committed to customer relationships. The company believes in being as green as possible to help our planet while creating awesome custom furniture pieces at affordable pricing. 
 
Qualifications:
  • Ability to follow directions.
  • Ability to stay on task with little supervision.
  • Can work overtime and weekends as needed.
  • Self-motivated and able to stay on task with limited supervision. 
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • High School Diploma or GED.

     
Skills:
  • Experienced with hand tools.
  • Experienced using: Planer, Jointer, Resaw, Table saw, Miter saw, Wide belt sander, Jig saw, Biscuit joiner, Orbital sanders, Chisels, Belt sander, and drivers.
  • Able to read blueprints/Shop Drawings
  • Proficient in sanding, finishing, and applying epoxy products to make wood food safe
  • Ability to read/write/speak English
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude and is adaptable
  • excellent verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Reliable transportation
 
This position is responsible for using blueprints and shop drawing to make custom wood pieces for furniture products.
