Brake Press Operator/Shop Production - $20hr - 1st Shift - Fremont, MI

Work locally and utilize your talent in a shop where your work can be appreciated!

Assemble or fabricate mechanical parts, pieces or products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications in a manufacturing organization.

Qualifications:

• Maintain weld machines using preventative maintenance methods

• Continually evaluate weld machine performance and technology to improve cycle times

• Maintain inventory of manufacturing product and welding consumables

• Create specific weldment set ups and fixturing to meet geometric requirements

• Perform quality checks to ensure the product meets quality standards

• Identify Product defects and complete appropriate documentation

• Rework and/or repair welded parts and products according to engineering specification changes

• Prioritize work flow through effective communication with management staff

• Some travel - Will ride with crew. Possible weekends

Skills:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Valid Driver’s license 

• Prefer candidate with GMAW and GTAW experience in sheet metal and structural steel

• Ability to read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, weld symbols, bills of material, and other written instructions or procedures

• Ability to utilize handheld tools such as a hand held screw gun, drill gun, and grinders

• Ability to operator calipers, weld gauges, tape measures, and other welding tools
