3rd Shift - Automation Technician II - $22-$26/hr - Kentwood, MI

Preferred Qualifications:
 
●  Assist with material handling of raw components and finished goods to insure continuous  running of production line
● Insure production key metrics are achieved (throughput, scrap, quality) through sense of urgency and detail regarding line uptime, scrap limits and quality checks/concerns
● Basic machine resets and minor adjustments of equipment
● Participate in continuous improvement programs
● Verify that all quality checks, tally sheets, and other production documents are properly completed and maintained and that appropriate actions are taken to contain and control out of   compliance conditions
● Possess positive motivation and willingness to work within a team based environment
● Perform 5S duties to ensure a clean and organized work environment
● Ensure compliance with Corporate and Plant policies and procedures
● Willing to work daily and weekend overtime as needed to support  production
● Other duties as assigned. 
● Job lifting requirements of 35 lbs. 
● Must be able to sit, stand, bend, twist, turn, and squat if necessary
 
 
 
 
 
 
PREFERRED SKILLS
● Ability to learn and retain troubleshooting knowledge and skills
● Minimum 3 years in fast paced production environment
● Root cause/problem solving
● Basic mechanical aptitude
● Able to work in fast paced production environment
● Proficient with Microsoft Excel
● Read, write and speak English (bilingual is preferred)
● High school diploma or equivalent
 
 
 
Under the direction of the Master Technician, Manufacturing Engineers and Production Manager, the Automation Technician I is responsible for output, quality, and performance of the line.
