1st Shift - Assembler, $17.00/hr. – Savannah, GA 
 
The Assembler assembles sub-components and complete machines according to print specifications by performing the following duties and others as assigned. The best applicants are safety, quality, productivity minded, have a positive attitude, and have a commitment to punctuality and attendance. 
 
Workbox Staffing is hiring Assembler in Savannah.

Qualifications/Essential Duties:
  • Understands and utilizes blueprints and shop packet instructions; interprets when required
  • Constructs the assemblies and subassemblies of product line and assists in specialized production
  • Uses chain hoist, hand tools: air, electrical and manual, bench tools: grinder, drill press, etc., and measuring instruments to assemble machines.  
  • Builds component parts, stacking and training gin saws, building saw and brush cylinders
  • Operates dynamic balancing machine on variety of products
  • Checks torques and clearances during assembly process
  • Inspects each part to verify quality and operability at completion
  • Confers with others to resolve assembly problems.
  • Reports labor accurately each day
  • Assists less experienced assembly personnel
  • Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment
  • Other duties as assigned
 
Skills:
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and short correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one or small group situations
  • Ability to read and comprehend a tape measure
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
  • Demonstrates a high level of reliability and punctuality 
  • Regularly stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms
  • Frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Occasionally sit and climb or balance
  • Lift/Move up to 50 lbs.
