Job Description

1st Shift- HR Admin Assistant, $17- 19/hr.- Elkhart, IN

Essential Accountabilities:
  • Provide secretarial and administrative support daily.
  • Schedules and organizes complex activities such as meetings, travel,
  • conferences/events, and activities.
  • Provide Human Resources administrative support in the following areas:
  • Local Recruiting
  • New Hire Support
  • Providing basic benefit information
  • Internal bid/bump process
  • Temporary staffing coordination
  • Service Recognition coordination
  • Training coordination and documentation
  • Safety Committee support
  • Company Event Coordination
  • Prepare various reports for distribution. Types and designs general correspondences,
  • memos, charts, tables,
  • graphs, business plans, etc. Proofread copy for spelling, grammar, and layout, making.
  • appropriate changes.
  • Responsible for the accuracy and clarity of the final copy.
  • Sorts and distributes mail. Drafts written responses or replies by phone or e-mail.
  • when necessary. Responds to
  • regularly occurring requests for information.
  • Works independently and within a team on special nonrecurring and ongoing
  • projects. Acts as project manager
  • for special projects, which may include planning and coordinating presentations,
  • disseminating information,
  • coordinating plant functions and events
  • Provide for customer support in the following areas:
  • Customer visit hospitality
  • Workspace coordination
  • Price increase coordination/communication to customers
  • Coordination of sample shipments and office mailings
  • Provide Office Management and Support by maintaining records, phone listings,
  • office supplies, sample
  • shipments.

Preferred Qualification:
  • Associate degree – Administrative Assistant, or related field and a minimum of two
  • years professional administrative
  • support experience required.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and capability of performing accurate
  • typing at a minimum of 45 (net)
  • words per minute
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to pass vision test including Visual acuity-corrected vision of at least 20/40:
  • peripheral and depth perception
  • Basic Math, Computer, and Mechanical Skills
  • Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
  • Proven ability to work independently.
  • Other Physical Requirements: bending, stooping, climbing, reaching, twisting,
  • standing for long periods and visual acuity test
  • Reading, Writing, Calculating
