Machine Operators, Up to $18.05/hr –  Day Shift - Norton Shores 
 
A specialty coffee beverage producer in Norton Shores is looking for Machine Operators to join their growing team on their Day shift!  Hours are 5:00am-5:15pm (Rotating 12's.)  Overtime may be required. 

Preferred Qualifications: 
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred. 2 to 5 years of related experience and/or training.
  • Experience within the food and beverage industry preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
  • Demonstrated willingness to adapt to a continually changing environment and influence others.
  • Must be able to work in a wet environment. Some exposure to cleaning chemicals.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime.
  • Be able to effectively work in a team environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
 
Preferred Skills:
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work and adhere to safe
    work practices in a continuous improvement environment.
  • Perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation on
    multiple pieces of equipment.
  • Setting up manufacturing equipment
  • Operate/monitor multiple pieces of equipment during operation to ensure quality production and
    minimal unplanned stops.
  • Rotates through the department work stations based on business need.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours (surrounding assigned shift) as business needs require.
  • Operates specialty machinery and uses various processes and equipment to fabricate, manufacture,
    assemble or move products while meeting all necessary specifications and quality control standards.
  • Communicate with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct
    product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials.
  • Housekeeping and sanitation.
  • Maintains logs and records of units produced including a record of errors resulting in rejected or
    discarded pieces.
  • Works overtime as needed.
 
The Machine Operator will be responsible for performing various tasks to set up, operate, monitor, troubleshoot
and perform preventive maintenance on assigned machines. The Machine Operator will also be responsible for
inspecting parts to specifications and making adjustments, or tool changes as necessary to maintain quality
specifications.
