Sales Engineer - $45k/yr + BOE - Holland, MI

A local Holland, MI company that designs and manufactures machinery for a variety of industries is actively seeking a Sales Engineer. Typical work hours are Monday - Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with OT as needed. Travel could be up to 30% worldwide and would be required. The Sales Engineer will support sales efforts acting as a liaison between manufacturing and the customer base. Requirement of the job include but are not limited to:

-Research information for preparation of manufacturing new and used machine orders. Including, time line of one week after order is placed, attaching technical and commercial specifications together with container and closure samples. Tracking shipping schedule, and order confirmation to customer.

-Issue internal or customer derived change orders to manufacturing and insure correct machine changes are implemented. Track purchase order amendments and relative invoicing for purchases or credits.

-Coordinate with Customer and/or a third party line integrator regarding plant & line layout with recommendations and placement of equipment. Layouts imported to AUTO CAD from 3D Solid Works models that show machine orientation, placement and utility/process connections. Documents must be presented in a professional format.

-Participates in quotation process. This will be coordinated with the sales team member and may require a site visit to customer s facility. Insure that technical quotations are quoted accurately and promptly.

-Machine order specifications entered into database and ERP system for scheduling and publishing ordering tasks to various departments.

- Maintain and update manufacturing and production schedule for weekly meeting. Schedule machine order design reviews. Coordinate job startup and completion dates with engineering and operations VP.

-Required to travel a minimum of 10% and attend trade shows.

-Coordination with 3rd party equipment suppliers and the exchange of technical data required for the integration of their equipment e.g. cappers, sorters, conveyors, labelers etc.

-Maintain inventory of sample containers and caps. Analyze specialized containers with customers, pattern department and engineering for problem resolution.

-Understanding the principles of operation and functionality of CIP/SIP, chemical blend skids and their relationship with the production process.

-Meet with customers, when necessary, and assist with technical information to promote future sales.

-Coordinate shipping procedures with Shipping Department, including preparation and setup of customer equipment leaving , via telephone and email correspondence.

-Provide post sales design, build technical and specification support with customer via email, telephone and webinar conferences if necessary.

-Coordinate and setup up daily agenda, detailed checklist for Factory Acceptance Test protocol. Document post FAT action items required for correction and to completion.

-Work closely with Parts and Service Department regarding Start-up and extended spares, Installation and Commissioning Schedule.

-Customer support and troubleshooting with customer to discern whether or not a service call needs to be setup.

-Communicate closely with the Accounting Department from order inception to machinery shipment.

Functions and Requirements:

-Associates Degree in engineering discipline preferred.

-Five years Process Engineering/Manufacturing/Packaging experience.

-Proficient in the utilization of Auto CAD and Solid Works.

-Have knowledge of Navisworks or 3D modeling software experience

-Must have PC skills which include word processing and spreadsheet applications.

-Adept in various other CAD software for design, data analysis and presentations.

-Strong customer service background required.

The Controls Engineer Level II will provide Controls Engineering support for products and services worldwide. They will assist other departments and customers to ensure quality electrical specifications are met. They will Direct Controls Engineers-Level 1 and Electrical Technicians, to design and document new products and product line enhancements of an electrical nature. They will work with manufacturing to determine the best manufacturing processes for existing and new products and with quality personnel to insure that all quality aspects of product design and manufacturing are met by applying engineering principals under minimal supervision. Responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to:

- Performs in depth investigation into materials, processes and products assigned by management. Provides a comprehensive written analysis for review.

-Review electrical Bill of Materials for consistency and accuracy.

-Monitor wire stock and order replacement wire as needed. Monitor electrical stock and order replacements as needed. Determines proper material selection by performing static and dynamic engineering calculations with the aid of computer-aided design (CAD, personal computers (PC) and calculators).

-Analyzes electrical costs by performing mathematical calculations. Applies calculated data, with material costs, to determine total product material costs.

-Works with other engineering designers to review form, fit and function of product designs by utilizing CAD and PC s.

-Provide project leadership on major installation or revision of machines and equipment. Including direct production of electrical controls. Weld wire ways to machine bases, run conduit, pull cables, read blueprints and wire machines accordingly, track BOM parts and make sure they arrive on time. Work with assembly department to coordinate timing of wiring and machine startup. Build electrical panels, assist in machine disassembly for shipping. Test safety circuits.

-Documents all projects and maintain in master engineering file. Insure that a bill of materials and electrical schematic are placed in the engineering file of each machine.

-Design and assemble prototype product using power and hand tools.

-Assist and Support development programs. Prepares test requests, monitors tests, and evaluates test performance per agency and industry standards.

-Analyzes competitive products by evaluating materials, manufacturing processes, product performance and packaging.

-Contacts and when necessary visits customers, suppliers, and agencies to obtain information relative to existing products, purchased parts, material selections, or manufacturing processes.

-Travel and provide engineering field support for machine installation, startup and service for all of customer base and/or our dealer/agents

-Support customers, Sales Department and Purchasing Department on project control specifications. Answer controls and electrical related customer service telephone calls.

Functions and Requirements:

-Bachelor of Science in engineering discipline or equivalent experience

-5 years engineering experience required, packaging industry preferred.

-Electrical wiring experience in an OEM atmosphere

-Experience in RSLogix 5000, Logix 500, FactoryTalk View ME, Siemens WinCC and Step 7 V5

Essential Duties and Responsibilities for Production Worker position:

- You will be inspecting, packaging and checking items for flaws. Our training covers our quality standards and you will have visual cues to help you determine whether to accept or reject items.

- You will be packaging food stuffs. You will work directly with food products, packaging them in glass, boxes, cans, and bags.

- You will work on a moving line. Our line runs at approximately 14 jars/ minute. Once trained, you are expected to maintain pace with our belt speed. Our line rotates positions approximately every hour. You are expected to become competent in each of our positions and rotate as directed by our Koeze Staff.

- Job includes Industrial Cleaning. Assignment includes daily cleaning duties. At the end of each day you will clean for approximately one hour. Your tasks will include wiping conveyor belts, wiping buckets, sweeping floors, and mopping. Your assignment includes weekly cleaning duties. At the end of each week, on Thursday afternoons, for many hours you will be involved in cleaning belts, buckets, hoppers, scales, and other industrial items. You will be sweeping floors, cleaning work surfaces, and washing items in a sink.

Job Requirements for Production Worker position:

- You are required to maintain a high degree of personal cleanliness and follow our Sanitation Standards while in the Production Area: No chewing gum, candy, food, medicine (cough drops), tobacco, toothpicks, pencils, etc. You are not to place any item in or near your mouth while in the production area You may not apply cosmetics (chap stick, lipstick, lotion, etc.) in the production area Avoid unsanitary hand use (scratching head, wiping any part of face/body, any contact with nose, mouth, or ears) in the production area ? Cover mouth with arm when coughing or sneezing and replace your gloves immediately

- You will be expected to know the job well enough to keep up with the line and work with little supervision.

- Limit your conversations at work. It s always appropriate to discuss work-related matters on the line such as questions about quality, work procedures, safety reminders, etc. However, keep non-work related conversations to a minimum such.

Qualifications for Production Worker position:

- You will be on your feet all day. You will be walking or standing stationary during the day. Except for short breaks and lunch, there is no opportunity to sit and rest.

- You will be required to lift up to 35 lbs. (the weight of one case of product).

- You need good manual dexterity to perform the job. You will be inspecting and packaging our food products.

The Material Handling Manager will be responsible for the distribution of raw stock, finished parts, or parts in process to all manufacturing departments. They will assist with receiving and shipping as needed. This individual needs to maintain a heightened sense of detail, making sure all paperwork is completed accurately and on time. They will also inspect production parts to insure accuracy, quality, and engineering tolerance requirements are met. Responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to:

-Make sure all parts are carefully loaded and secured for safe transit within the plant and also to and from outside suppliers.

-Inspect all parts insuring quality and quantity is correct.

-Perform daily cycle counts of stock inventory.

-Determine appropriate paperwork and match to each job. This may include work orders, process sheets, blueprints, purchase orders, etc. Document and report any issues/ discrepancies if needed.

-Route parts to other departments in the shop as necessary.

-Maintain safety and cleanliness of work area by performing housekeeping duties daily.

-Monitor the due dates on the process sheets and complete all work by the scheduled due date.

-Use ERP/DOS based software to maintain inventory, including entering parts received and issued.

-Stock parts bins with finished parts, making sure parts are secured in proper bin or area.

-Receive and process UPS incoming daily.

-Unload material from trucks in the dock and receiving area. Check to make sure materials have not been damaged in transit, and the appropriate bill of lading is attached to the shipment, before unloading.

-Direct off-loaded materials to appropriate area of manufacturing.

-During times when the duties outlined above are fulfilled, you may be required to perform additional duties as requested

Job Description

As you can tell from driving around, there are new cars being made at a record pace. For car companies to keep up with the demand from the public, they depend on automotive parts suppliers like ourselves to keep the production lines going in their factories. For this position, we are looking for workers that can work accurately and quickly to package various automobile parts. We have strict deadlines that must be met so productivity and accuracy are very important skills for applicants to have. Once you get the hand of how to ship the parts you will become very fast at this since it is a repetitive task. We will ensure you have all proper PPE and have training on how to do the task at hand.

Experience and Compensation

No specific experience required.

Starting pay is $9.25 an hour, with normal 40-hour weeks. If 40 hours are worked, an attendance bonus of $0.50 will be applied to all the hours worked that week!

3. Calculate capability studies and record Cpk on appropriate chart. When specified, chart dimensions and administer statistical process control charting techniques.

4. Transfer parts to lot containers, and attach work-in-process labels.
