Quality Engineer Needed! $40k-$55K DOE

Job Purpose: Assist Managers in Quality Dept to develop and oversee implementation of long and short term quality program. Maintain customer relations as they relate to quality. Establish Quality department as a pivotal change force

Job Duties:
Responsible for leading the quality department and taking directions from Quality Manager
Support TS16949 implementation
Follow up on customer requests for quality concerns
Attendance at all Customer engineering and vehicle launch meetings
Direct involvement with Customer quality and engineering teams in understanding quality
concerns, data collection, measurement analysis and root cause identification.
Direct involvement with Customer quality and engineering teams in establishing Interim
Containment Actions.
Direct involvement with Client quality and engineering teams to understand and establish
Permanent Corrective Actions.
Communication with Client and Customer teams to present Client actions and countermeasures
to address identified quality concerns.
Provide needed direction, support, supervision and materials to Quality personnel.
Work effectively with team members to troubleshoot quality and/or production issues.
Understand, adhere to and practice safety guidelines in the production environment.

Requirements:
Experience in automotive manufacturing environments.
Bachelor' s degree in Engineering or Technical degree.
Ability to supervise and provide direction and leadership to others.
Proficient in basic computer programs; Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Proficient in the creation, development and charting of data related to automotive quality
engineering quality aspects.
Ability to use, read and understand measurement tools related to the automotive quality field,
such as; micrometers, calipers, scales, and force gages.
Outstanding communication skills in both presentation and the ability to listen, understand and
follow through on directions communicated by Client, Customer and Quality Strategies
management teams.
Professional attitude, appearance, communication, mannerism and respect for authority.
