They have expertise in conceiving, designing, fabricating, programming and assembling custom automation equipment to exacting quality standards. They largely serve customers in the following end markets: automotive, office furniture, medical device, transportation and building products.
Actively seeking a skilled Project Manager who enjoys thinking outside of the box to join their team! The right individual will work alongside the team to manage projects throughout the entire project life cycle (from project kick-off to close). The role s primary responsibilities are to manage project scope and scope changes, performance to timeline and budget, and communication to customers and internal stakeholders.
60-80% of this role s time will be spent communicating with the customer and facilitating the project build, including customer scope or engineering change orders.
20-40% of this role s time will be split between supporting the Business Development and Cost/Concepting teams, reporting project status to the executive team, and monitoring on-going timing, cost, and quality of projects.
Review incoming RFQs from current and prospective customers with Business Development and Concepting teams for capacity and timing.
Successfully act as the primary point of communication between us and customers of respective projects.
Upon award of project purchase order, the Project Manager is responsible for the leadership of the project including kick-off, scope and engineering changes, schedule management, cost management, open issue management, and risk analysis.
Possess and demonstrate the interpersonal, leadership, and soft skills necessary to build relationships with key customer contacts responsible for decision making.
In depth understanding of the financial details and budget of each assigned project.
Preparation and communication of project status meetings and escalation of critical issues.
Attend and present at internal kick-off meetings with Team Leads of the Design, Build, and Electrical departments.
Bachelor s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering and/or experience managing projects in the automation field
5+ years of experience in the automation industry
3+ years of experience in project management
Previous experience in machine design, build, or programming strongly preferred
History of successfully managing multiple customer contacts and projects at various stages of completion
PMP certification is preferred but not required
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
