SUMMARY

Work at Project Engineer level 1-3 includes the following

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate activities of an engineering project to ensure objectives of project are met within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters

  • Translate concepts and information into images

  • Apply design and engineering principals

  • Develop project plans, priorities, and communicate changes as well as report progress

  • Manage difficult or emotional customer situations, respond promptly and meet commitments.

  • Meet challenges with resourcefulness and innovativation

  • Own financial outcomes of a project

  • Contact customers to coordinate and manage projects as well as expectations

  • Provide information required for GRC to assemble a quote

  • Identify and prevent long term issues that could arise.

  • Look at current offerings and suggest enhancement for future programs

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to do the work listed in the Summary at the Job level specified in the Essential Duties and Responsibilities. (See next pages.) The duties, responsibilities and competences at lower levels apply to higher levels.

Bachelors of Engineering degree (BS) or equivalent from four-year college or university and experience depending on specified job level (see next pages).

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Pro E Design software; MRP Manufacturing software; and Microsoft Office.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
