ROLE AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

This position is responsible for keeping our looms in working order to ensure we meet our customer s needs.

Minimal overnight travel needed for training purposes.

- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

- Repair, install, and adjust industrial machinery

- Ensure looms are weaving product according to specifications

- Troubleshoot and repair defective equipment

- Conducting mechanical and electrical repairs

- Request parts to ensure continual operation

- Must possess standard metric tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, etc)

- Must be detail oriented, demonstrate problem solving

- Diagnose machine or quality problems and resolve fully and quickly

- Model exceptional safety behavior and encourage it in others

- Maintain housekeeping of looms and workstation at exceptional level

- Consistently produce products of outstanding quality

- Works proficiently with the SAP computer program

- Lift and creel yarn packages of at least 22 lbs each

- Ability to work hours based on the need of the business

- Act as a work and personal character role model for others

- Encourage teamwork and accountability for others

- Act as a resource for assistance and knowledge related to job duties

- Seeks out and acts upon opportunities for continuous improvement

- Meets production goals and/or metrics on a consistent basis

- Is a source of encouragement and positivity for the team

- Possesses an above average knowledge of loom maintenance and troubleshooting ability

- Models positive work ethic through solid attendance and promptness

- Act as a mentor to new hires

Qualifications:

- Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and procedure manuals

- Positive attitude and strong sense of urgency

- Familiarity with industrial tools and equipment

- Ability to handle physical workload

- Demonstrated ability to successfully train others on various job duties

- Must have attended Dornier Rapier weaving training

- Strong detail orientation

- Ability to troubleshoot medium to complex mechanical problems

- Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and procedure manuals

- Must have a positive attitude and strong sense of urgency

- Previous experience in machinery or other related fields

- Familiarity with industrial tools and equipment

- Ability to handle physical workload

Preferences:

- Dornier Rapier weaving machine knowledge a plus

- Able to draw in patterns and reeds

- Doffing Machines as needed

- Weaving experience a plus.
