Apprentice Extrusion Operator
 
Job Description:
 
Set up and run blown film extrusion machinery by performing the following duties.
 
  • Learn to read job specification sheet and determine the correct product specifications such as film width, gauge and treat levels.
 
  • Learn set-ups, changeovers and general extrusion functions.
 
  • Manage department paperwork in regards to manufactured materials.
 
  • Perform all necessary quality checks required to insure product quality
 
  • Develop skills to perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of all equipment in the department.
 
  • Optimize product quality and productivity while controlling scrap levels
 
  • Any and all other duties as assigned by the manager and/or designee.
