Job Summary:

The inspector will work as part of the direct manufacturing shop floor team. In this position, the Inspector will visually inspect inserts or frames while ensuring tolerances are met in a manufacturing environment. The Inspector will disassemble, inspect, and reassemble an insert to check for adherence to specifications. This position requires working in a temperature controlled manufacturing environment.

This position requires the ability to read instructions and follow these instructions with precision to produce outputs.

Essential/Key Functions:

Inspect inserts or frames by disassembling and reassembling parts and measuring with precision and measuring tools

Properly drill parts to specification

Confirm conformance to specification

Keep records of approved and defective units or final products

Maintain activity logs

Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc.

Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly

Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures

Take precision measurements using micrometers or measuring devices

Check output to ensure highest quality

Keep records of production quantities and time

Report on issues, malfunction or defective parts

Able to stop production if the work center/machine is not producing products that meet all required specifications

Properly identify all product processed with work order number, inspection status, and operation status

Follow all safety guidelines and operate machinery in a safe manner

Physical presence on the job is essential and necessary including weekends and holidays if deemed necessary by the company

Minimum (Required) Qualifications:

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent;

Technical Degree a plus

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to read and blueprints, schematics, & manuals

Mechanical aptitude

A keen eye for detail and results-driven approach

Technical knowledge

Ability to use and read a micrometer and precision measuring tools

Must possess basic math skills

Ability to understand quality control principles

Good communication skills (verbal and written)

Ability to follow all safety guidelines

Must support mission and purpose of the company and be committed to professional and personal growth
