Job Summary: A locally owned company in Reed City who is a utility specific distributor and provides protective equipment testing, tool repair, and technical services consulting to customers around the world is looking for a qualified candidate to fill a Human Resource Specialist position. The Human Resource Specialist will be assisting the Director of Safety & HR in supporting the employees Human Resource Policies and Programs set forth by the Corporate Office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Human Resource Specialist position:
  • Updating Company HR Database
  • New Employee Orientation Set Up
  • Generating & Distributing HR & Safety Reports
  • Assistant Benefit Administrator
  • Off Work Tracking (FMLA and Unemployment)
  • Verification of Employments
  • Job Ads & Recruitment
  • Assistant Drug Testing Administrator
  • Preforms any other related or unrelated, unassigned, unspecified, unusual or Special Duty HR Functions the Director of HR & Safety may assign
Job Requirements of the Human Resource Specialist position:
  • Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred: Bachelor s Degree, Concentration in Human Resource
  • Strong understanding of human resources
  • At least 1-year experience in an active Human Resource Position
  • All project completed in a timely manner
  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, and use hands/arms to operate office equipment
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
  • Must be able to work under time and budgetary pressure
Qualifications for the Human Resource Specialist position:
  • Strong verbal, written, presentation, & interpersonal communication skills
  • Must be able to communicate and interact with vendors and internal customers
  • Prioritize workload to meet business needs and goals
  • Independently arrange and organize work efforts on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis
  • Ability to multi-task on a consistent basis
  • Conceptualize and implement performance objectives that meet established requirements
  • Demonstrate a high degree of personal & professional ethics & integrity
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office & Outlook
