Job Summary: A local Gaylord company who manufactures fiber optic and copper cable assemblies and harnesses is looking for a qualified candidate to fill a Manufacturing Engineer position. The Manufacturing Engineer will provide engineering technical expertise and the tools to support all phases of manufacturing and resolve manufacturing issues. This position will report to the Plant Manager. The responsibilities of the include but are not limited to:
-Provides manufacturing with tools and technical engineering support.
-Leads process design functions.
-Analyzes various product structures and processes.
-Monitors and controls objectives and costs of assigned projects.
-Participates in continuous improvement activities.
-Conducts manufacturing process tests.
-Troubleshoots, identifies, and implements systems and/or process needs and improvements.
-Participates as a member of the Operations Team.
-Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.

Functions and Requirements:
-Minimum of 3 years in Engineering or related field. Thorough knowledge of materials, machine dynamics, etc. Technically
current in machine design and/or equipment engineering with strong understanding of control (i.E. Operating logic) and ability to integrate into process equipment.-Good understanding and working knowledge of lean manufacturing systems, techniques, and tools.
