Call Center/Customer Service Representative, $14.00/hr, 1st Shift, Grand Rapids, MI
A local Grand Rapids global leader in the production of industrial manufacturing machinery is actively seeking a Call Center/Customer Service Representative for a Contract to Hire role to work on 1st Shift. The 1st Shift will be 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday - Friday. This position will be working within the call center for Technical Services. They would be working alongside 2 others that would be doing similar work, all rotating phone support to our customers. They will also be responsible for greeting and gathering customer information, inputting it into the ERP system and dispatching the call to the correct department that will then give that customer a call back at a later time. The ERP system is homegrown and continually updated. Someone that is familiar with computers and Microsoft systems is essential. This candidate must also be comfortable with a lot of phone support and must be extremely customer service driven. This person should be friendly and not easily irritated when a customer calls and may be short (as their machine may be down at their facility and that s lost time and money for the customer). The work will be repetitive - You will be making around 150 calls per day (along with 2 other workers) and responding to around 100 emails.

Functions and Requirements:
- Associates degree preferred
- Prior customer service/call center experience REQUIRED!
- Must be familiar with Computers and Microsoft systems
- Must have excellent typing skills
- Must be comfortable with Repetitive Work
- Must have excellent phone demeanor
