Job Description
Lab Technician, $16/hr - Detroit, MI - 1st Shift
Workbox Staffing is hiring Lab technicians in Detroit, MI for one of Michigan’s elite metal processing companies. For this position, you will be performing quality testing on metals and chemicals, and you will be conducting safety tests to ensure the metal and chemicals are safe for use and are being made properly

Qualifications:
- Attention to detail, thorough, analytical, and understands the importance of proper quality verification
- Quick learner with initiative
- Must be good at math (Fractions, multiplication, division)
Skills:
- Comfortable with Microsoft Excel
- Daily perform tensile testing
- Daily release finished material by performing all applicable quality checks (diameter verification, tensile verification, surface examination, etc)
- Release raw material samples by performing all applicable quality checks (diameter verification, tensile verification, surface examination, etc)
- Comfortable with using gauges (micrometers, calipers, etc)
- Experience with titrations is a plus
- Experience with hardness testing is a plus
